Makeup is the one cosmetic item that appears to be immune to both a pandemic and rapidly rising inflation rates. We fully support people who continue to spend money on beauty! However, if you want to save more money, consider these reasonably priced makeup substitutes.
For those of us who enjoy filling our makeup bags despite our finances being smaller, we've compiled a list of drugstore cosmetics that are on par with, if not better than, high-end brands.
The team at Brad's Deals, which includes managing editor Casey Runyan and a few other beauty enthusiasts, has compiled a list of excellent, affordable makeup alternatives for pricey name-brand cosmetics. Have fun!
a) Eyeliner
Even though Lancome Precision Point Eyeliner has a long-lasting appearance and a handy minibrush, some people cannot afford to pay $31. You will definitely think back on the $3.19 you spent on the Wet 'n' Wild liner as the best money you have ever spent! Like the Lancome liner, it's easy to apply, stays in place all day, and lasts an absurdly long time for such a small bottle. Really, don't spend the $22. There won't be any noticeable variations.
b) MASCARA
Benefits are a BADgal Lash stays in place all day without smudging and thickens without clumping. L'Oreal Paris Voluminous Mascara achieves the SAME result for a significantly lower cost. In addition, this product lasts far longer in a bottle than its more costly equivalent, which has a quick tendency to dry out.
c) Lipstick
Although Aveda's Nourish-Mint lipstick is a highly regarded high-end product with a delightful fresh mint scent, we've noticed that some customers are dissatisfied with how long it lasts. As an alternative, consider using REVLON's Super Lustrous Lipstick. The AVEDA competitor's delicious mint flavor is absent from REVLON Super Lustrous Lipstick, but it is far more pigmented and lasts much longer. It's also reasonably priced.
